an anti-facebook group doesn't accomplish anything; sueing is a waste of time - you have no legal leg to stand on.
check out my videos featuring people just like you telling their story. the CEO says he wants "a more open voice in governance". let's take him up on that offer.

i'm overdue for an episode - would you like to do a video conference?

i honestly think legal action is a waste of time. what grounds would you sue on? they have a Terms of use agreement which protects them.
Legality is not the issue here - the fiduciary responsibility a company has to its customers & the way it treats those customers is.
My approach is to hold the CEO who states in a recent video that he wants "more open & democratic voice in governance" from his users accountable to that statement.

nobody has the CEO's email address - but you are on the right track there.
I've started a campaign to have this addressed by the CEO Mark Zuckerberg. I'm doing that by featuring people's stories of how this disasbled account policy affects users.

Father;
I very much feel for your situation. I was a very loyal brand advocate for Facebook until the same happened to me; although the impact in your case is certainly even more intense. In my case it took 3 whole weeks to get restored although I have found many others not even that lucky.
I have started a campaign to take up this issue directly with the person to be held accountable for the manner in which Facebook treats its customer base - founder & CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This is not meant to be confrontational - it is meant to be constructive. After all it is taking Mark up on his offer of a "more involved, more democratic form of governance" which he talks about on his own page on Facebook in a recent video. That should start with at least acknowledging that this is a prevalent issue affecting his customers. And we are customers - Facebook is projected to have $ 500 M in revenues this year. These revenues are being generated by advertising to the userbase - that's us.
My approach is to simply feature people telling their story as to how this disabled account policy is affecting their lives. Please take a look :

I would like for you to consider telling your story. I realize it is not an immediate solution - but it is a constructive step of ACTION. The view count on all episodes keeps rising daily. Compelling stories such as yours will soon get mainstream media attention this way.
Let's not just accept the situation - let's do something.

I'd like to talk to you about yours & see what legal opinion your attorney has. Personally I don't think you have a case but I'm open to hear the attorney's point of view on that for sure.
I'll be on internet radio tomorrow at 7 pm EST; you can call in & talk about this.

hey Bianca;
thanks for the kind words. and you're correct - it does on average definetely take longer than 2-7 days. in my case it was 21 days. however I found that many never get any communication. I understand that a company growing as fast as FB may have logistics issues in dealing with these kinds of things but then they should at least acknowledge that & work with their users.
If you're interested I'll be on internet radio this sunday the 27th at 7 pm EST taking calls about this topic

as in Mark Zuckerberg - the owner. the buck always stops with the owner.
Galen - I agree with you. one of the main points of my campaign is to get the media to pick up on it - which will shine a light on everything else. – Rudy, on September 25, 2009 00:52
