Looks like there's a bug with the update button not working consistently with some browsers/versions/OSs. Looking into it!

Choosing a diferent tab (responses) and then posting there seems to work here on OS X Leopard 10.5.2 with Firefox...

It hasn't worked on anything: Safari, Firefox on OS X Leopard or XP, or IE7 on XP.

If the browser still loads the standard version of the site when you visit http://m.twitter.com, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the "View Twitter in:" text in the footer. Sorry... Just realized that I forgot to mention this -- when I said I could post fine in Firefox, I was referring to posting from the Twitter mobile version of the site at http://m.twitter.com/home using my WinXP PC.

My tweets also disappear without being posted in Firefox when I'm on the standard web version of the site.
