Thanks for taking the situation I reported into consideration. I'll be anxiously waiting for the day I can have my ratings available on sb. – ruipenunes, on September 04, 2008 08:56

I've posted here, because I felt the situation described had some similarities to my own case, but the fact is I don't use iTunes. I've rated all my mp3's using both Music Match and Media Monkey, so my question remains: Is there any way I can have my ratings metadata available on sb? Can't there be an option that one could choose so that these ratings can be available displayed on sb?
Thanks!-

Of all of the things sb is missing, this is probably the one that really keeps me from changing player. I've rated all my songs using other players before I started using sb. All that information is lost within sb and I'm not obviously going to rate my songs again. Can't there be an option that one could choose so that the rating metadata can be available on sb?

I totally agree with Marcus on this one. The user should be able to decide. – ruipenunes, on August 29, 2008 21:31

I can't say I agree with Tylerstyle, but I understand there might be different points of view.
Just like Smirky mentioned, I think Songbird should allow the user to choose. Why can't this be an option?
The way I see it, if Songbird wants to be The Player, it has to please every user. For me that includes solving this "problem". I know ITunes has the same "problem", but that's the only player I've used who proceeds the same way.-
