No longer able to connect to talkshoe via SIP

Up until last Saturday, I was able to connect to talkshoe over a SIP connection using X-Lite. Since Saturday night, however, any attempt to connect using a SIP client is answered with the recording "The person you are calling is unavailable please try again." Has something changed on the talkshoe side as far as connecting with SIP?

Upload not working

Uploaded show is not displaying after 4 hours. We uploaded a show around 10am ET and it still is not showing up in Talkshoe as available for download or listening.

Let me clarify - the feed is being spontaneously broken and fixed at random intervals. I am not making any changes to the feed (and, yes, all my descriptions are written in TextEdit which is a pure ascii editor), but it looks like something on your end is periodically adding junk to the top of the feed as noted in my first post.

A valid XML document should start with a line like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

But for whatever reason occasionally talkshoe kicks out a feed that has a header like this:

Last-Modified: Fri, 03 Apr 2009 14:24:22 GMT
ETag: "681169a-85d2e-4e0eb180"
Accept-Ranges: bytes
Content-Length: 548142
Connection: close
Content-Type: application/xml

I'm not sure what the cause, but it's not on my end and it's happening two to three times a week for the past couple of weeks now. Sometimes it will be broken for a few minutes, sometimes for a few hours.

Hopefully this clarification will help in the actual investigation of the problem.

RSS Feeds Keep Breaking

My RSS feed keeps breaking - several times over the past few days I've had listeners complain that this feed: http://recordings.talkshoe.com/rss338... is failing. I ran it through the w3 feed validator and there is a lot of nonsense at the top of the XML file that keeps it from validating, starting at line 0.

I could be wrong but the following doesn't belong in the feed:

Last-Modified: Fri, 03 Apr 2009 14:24:22 GMT
ETag: "681169a-85d2e-4e0eb180"
Accept-Ranges: bytes
Content-Length: 548142
Connection: close
Content-Type: application/xml

Talkshoe down, again.

Talkshoe just dropped all the calls and refuses to allow reconnection by dial-in, or over SIP. Pretty typical for the weekend, anymore.

Looks like it works on my PC under IE, but is still throwing errors on my macbook with Firefox or Safari even after a reboot. Strange. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply Dave - so if I uncheck the 'Publish Podcast' button, what happens exactly? Does talkshoe simply stop feeding iTunes new updates or does the feed disappear entirely?

And how is that option different from the manual process you mentioned? Thanks again for your help.

I click 'upload new image' I get an immediate error - it doesn't even get to the point of allowing me to select an image to upload.

Is there anyway to change the itunes feed URL in talkshoe? We'd really like a little more control over this feed, and being able to use our own URL rather than the autgenerated talkshoe URL would be a huge help.

Able to upload show, but they still do not appear available for download and are not in my rss from talkshoe. Are the issues from Sunday still ongoing?
