Ryan Koop replied on October 25, 2009 16:14 to the question "Webmin build not working as expected" in CohesiveFT:
Hey imethods,
Any EC2 build is also controlled by Amazon's Security Groups. A Security Group is a named collection of access rules which specify which incoming network traffic should be delivered to your instance. All other ingress traffic is discarded. In order to access webmin on port 10000 you will need to add an exception from your IP on port 10000 to the security group assigned to your server. You can modify rules for a group at any time and the new rules are automatically enforced.
To modify a security group, use our EC2/Eucalyptus Cloud Manager available through the Elastic Server Factory. https://elasticserver.com/ec2 > Click "Manage EC2 Security Groups" > Click the security group assigned to the server in question > Click "New Security Group" > Save the new rule.

Joe,
I apologize for your email going unanswered.
You unsubscribe through your PayPal account as mentioned on your Elastic Server Account Billing page (elasticserver.com/billing). I have included the instructions from PayPal's Subscription Receipt email that you received when you signed up.
If you would like to cancel this subscription, log in to your PayPal account and go to the "History" subtab of the "My Account" tab. Choose "Subscriptions" from the pull-down "Show" menu and press the "Submit" button. Choose this subscription, and click on its "Details" link. You will be taken to a Transaction Details page from which you may cancel your subscription. Canceling your subscription will immediately stop all future scheduled payments for this subscription.
Once you cancel your subscription, your Elastic Server account subscription will automatically revert to the free Community Edition.

The server you downloaded is a VMware formatted virtual machine image. You can launch the virtual server by first installing VMware Player, VMware's free desktop virtualization app, then opening the "VMware Virtual Machine Configuration File" (.vmx).
Ryan Koop replied on June 06, 2009 19:54 to the problem "billing" in CohesiveFT:
Ryan,
The payment you are sending to us via paypal is an echeck (https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/mai...) and its status is currently listed as 'uncleared.' This means that the echeck is pending and we will receive the funds in a day or two. Usually this would mean that your account would not be upgraded until we had received payment. But because of your former status as a paying customer that was regularly in good standing I have upgraded your account manually. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Happy Building!

Ryan Koop replied on January 29, 2009 19:52 to the question "Failing builds" in CohesiveFT:
Liz,
Again sorry for the inconvenience. I have upgraded you to our Personal Edition on a 30-day pay holiday to increase your monthly builds from 5 to 10. At the end of the 30-day trial you will have the option of returning to the free Community Edition or continue with the Personal Edition at a monthly rate of $10.
We have taken a look at your build issues. The problem was due to a minor hiccup with our Apache rubberband and we have since fixed the problem. Feel free to try your build again.
Cheers,
Ryan

Ryan Koop replied on July 14, 2008 16:38 to the question "Can't navigate to login page" in CohesiveFT:
Patrick,
1) The Elastic Server installed Joomla bundle directory is /usr/share/joomla/site
2) The problem with your install might be due to the fact that we don't actually set up a default password for MySQL. So it's using "root" as the user and "" as the password (yes that's no password).
You might consider using the offical CFT Elastic Server - Joomla template to upload a new clean Joomla 1.0 server to EC2 (currently only Joomla 1.0 is available on the Elastic Server Platform). Just click 'Add Bundles to My Cart' near the bottom of the right column.
The Joomla Homepage is available at http://[serverip]/joomla and the admin login is available at http://[serverip]/joomla/administrator using "admin" for the username and password.
Cheers,

Ryan Koop replied on July 09, 2008 13:08 to the question "How to use cftuser to run sudo for root level access?" in CohesiveFT:
The phpMyAdmin page can be accessed by navigating to http://[server ip]/phpmyadmin and using root for the username and leaving the password field blank.
Did you download the Community Server "CFT Elastic Server - MySQL 5 + phpMyAdmin + PHP 5" or Build from the LAMP Component Portal and use apt-get to install phpMyAdmin?
