Hi again,
Ok, I've been able to replicate your problem finally - yay!
What it looks like is that you have only gone through half of the Twitter oAuth authentication process. Please go through the oAuth process again by following these steps:
1. Visit http://www.shizzow.com/preferences/ex...
2. Click "Deactivate" if that button is available. This will reset your Shizzow-Twitter oAuth connection.
3. Click "Activate". This will forward you to the Twitter site.
4. Enter your Twitter login credentials when prompted. Once you click "Allow" on the Twitter site, you will be forwarded back to Shizzow.
5. Now visit http://www.shizzow.com/twitter_friends - you should be able to import your Twitter friends now!
Let me know if you encounter any problems in these steps.
This is definitely a bug on our end, because Shizzow should be catching that error and notifying you that the Twitter oAuth process is only half complete. I'll file a bug for that in our bug tracking system and we'll get that fixed.
Thanks for your patience!
- Ryan

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed response...
I haven't been able to reproduce your error, but I made a code tweak that may take care of the problem. Can you please try to access the Twitter Friends import page again?

Thanks,

Ryan Snyder replied on July 17, 2009 23:31 to the problem "HELP" in Shizzow:
Hi,
In order to shout, you'll need to login, then find the place that you're currently at. Use the search box in the upper-right part of the site to find that place. As an example, you could enter "Starbucks" for the Person/Place field, and "Portland, OR" in the City, State field. Shizzow will return a list of places that meet your search criteria, and once you find the place that you're currently at you can click "Shout" to declare your location.
I'll take a look at the FAQ and see if I can make the instructions a little more clear. Let me know if you have any more problems...
Cheers,
Ryan

Ryan Snyder replied on June 03, 2009 15:43 to the idea "application name in shout" in Shizzow:
Hi Don,
Shizzow shouts now list the application name in the shout on www.shizzow.com, as well as within the Shout object in returned API results. This feature was released along with oAuth support for the API. Currently, Shizzow only records applications that shout using oAuth. We will soon implement similar support for applications that shout using Basic Authentication.
More details on using oAuth for API authentication may be found here:
http://dev.shizzow.com/api-v0-documen...
Cheers,
Ryan
Ryan Snyder replied on June 03, 2009 15:39 to the question "Will you be using oauth for your API?" in Shizzow:
Hi Michael,
The Shizzow API now supports oAuth authentication. This is considered an alpha release.
Details for connecting using oAuth are available in our API docs:
http://dev.shizzow.com/api-v0-documen...
Please submit any oAuth-related questions, comments and bugs to the Shizzow Dev Google Group:

Ryan
