Great idea Don! We definitely want to recognize the cool apps that are in the process of integrating with Shizzow. We're in the pencil and paper stages of implementing oAuth for the API, but as soon as we do we will definitely include the app name in the Shout message on the site, as well as through shout results retrieved through API calls.

Hi all,

This has been implemented. To add a place, Shizzow requires a Place Name and a Country. The street address, city and state (required for some countries) are required if there is no latitude and longitude available. Otherwise, you may add the latitude and longitude, and you can successfully add a place.

Ok, bad news. The word from our SMS provider Zeep Mobile:

"Ryan, I just heard back from our aggregator and they do not support a
long-code alternative to the shortcode."

Will let you know if we can come up with an alternative.

We've been able to duplicate the problem a couple of times, but are cannot duplicate the problem on a consistent basis, which makes troubleshooting difficult! We'll dig into it shortly and see what we can find.

In the meantime, if anyone else has this issue, please let us know what O/S and Browser you are using.

We will definitely give play around with this idea. We've also received similar requests for the API... Our primary concern is performance, so we'll test it out on one of our test servers and see how it holds up. If it performs well, we'll add this feature!

We chose the hashtag because it was available on every phone we could find. What phone do you have?

We can certainly consider another command syntax and hope to dig back into SMS once the API is released.
