A comment on the question "Why does Verizon cripple the GPS on the BlackBerry 8830 and lie to customers about it?" in Verizon:
You may want to consider Sprint. They don't lock any of their features, not even the SIM portion on their world phones. – sahclohn, on November 06, 2009 21:12
A comment on the question "Wonderful Water Wanted" in Whole Foods Market:
Well I have no contract so I can disclose that the water is from CG Roxane LLC. They used to use the brand name "Roxane" but now I think they only have the name Crystal Geyser. – sahclohn, on March 04, 2009 03:24

Yes, a phone is important but it is ignorant not to have a backup plan. And you did have a backup so I don't understand how you can stand by your statement saying "they nearly killed my son."
My household has a VOIP line with Vonage and we would not blame Vonage if the service was down and we had a medical emergency. We have several cell phones as our backup plan. You should know what you are getting into when you are getting VOIP; it can only be as reliable as the internet connection and for Comcast, that's not reliable at all.
Once again, you should lay off the ridiculous accusations if you want help.

A comment on the question "Why does Verizon cripple the GPS on the BlackBerry 8830 and lie to customers about it?" in Verizon:
I guarantee you that after my contract is up, I will move to a different provider if you do not fix this problem. I'm rather young now so you will lose me as a customer for the rest of my life.
I do not like being treated so poorly and you can not do this to your loyal customers. My bill is about $200-300 a month since we have multiple lines and your company is being stingy on $10 a month so people are forced to buy VZNAV.
If you offered VZNAV for free, then I wouldn't be upset but you are treating us horribly just to get that $10 a month. – sahclohn, on October 23, 2008 03:12-

sahclohn asked a question in Lenovo on October 23, 2008 03:04:
Are Lenovo ThinkPads as good as IBM ThinkPads were?My sister needs a new laptop and I wanted to know if the Lenovo ThinkPads are as good as the old IBM ones. I'm thinking that there has been a decrease in quality but I hope not.
Can you give me an honest outline of what has changed since Lenovo bought IBM's computer division? Different parts, design, customer care?
(I am very satisfied with my IBM branded ThinkPad and the customer care I have received in the past few years)

A comment on the question "Rape is something to be taken lightly?" in Gawker Media Tech:
I never said that the use of the word "rape" was literal. I just said that it was an appropriate use of the word. The author was using it as a metaphor, saying that the debtor was being "robbed." And if you don't like my first definition, "To take (a thing) by force" can work. The author was using it as a metaphor but whether it is metaphoric or literal, it's still an appropriate use.

A comment on the question "Rape is something to be taken lightly?" in Gawker Media Tech:
I believe that "a place" refers to plunder. But the complete definition was "To rob, strip, plunder (a place). Also used with a group of people as object." So it can be used when people are robbed by credit card companies. – sahclohn, on October 22, 2008 20:32
A comment on the question "Rape is something to be taken lightly?" in Gawker Media Tech:
"To rob, strip, plunder (a place)" is a better definition. Oxford English Dictionary is the standard IMHO. "Rape" was used in 1892 in the following sentence "I raped your richest roadstead, I plundered Singapore." This use is obviously not new. – sahclohn, on October 22, 2008 20:17-

sahclohn replied on October 22, 2008 20:02 to the praise "Don't Buy Apple" in Apple:
I agree which is why I won't buy an Apple computer but I haven't found anything that is better than an iPod. It of course won't last over two years but American Express refunds my money every time the iPod fails after the 1-year warranty.
So if anyone buys an Apple product, make sure you get an extended warranty either by using an AMEX or perhaps another card.
