I'm currently developing a Tumblr posting/dashboard checking application, and the thought occurred to me that users should be able to leave feedback from within my application, perhaps via a mobile interface as has been mentioned...

That would add the application quality as well as more coverage for getsatisfaction too!

Make an RSS feed available for the Dashboard

I got a reply from David (Karp) for a comment I left on the main Tumblr v4 regarding this, and he says RSS is coming in v4. I just thought I'd put the discussion here to see how many others share my interest.

As a side note I really think the lack of RSS really is why I miss so many posts. I really can't keep the dashboard open at all times, mainly because paging is simply a flawed design and I'm pretty sure Feed readers are how most tech people read their, well, feeds.

Just as with Twitter, I think all these services need to start using some sort of standard for things like avatars. Here's to hoping they include it in v4.

Sorry about the ambiguity, allow me to rephrase.

The behaviour that I'm going for is similar to the TwitterSync Facebook App, in that a post that includes "@[name]" will not go to Facebook.

Then again there may be people who want this propagation or @'s

So perhaps it could be an option?

When I reply to someone on Twitter, (perhaps even Pownce or any other service that supports replies) I'd like Socialthing to automatically know to only post to services that support replied, I believe "@" is the only thing that denotes this.

Auto-nudge

I think it would be a a great feature if my account prompted me to "check-in" if I haven't checked-in after a certain specifiable time frame. Similar to the way twitter has "Auto-nudge". I can see that we have the ability to prompt our friends but I'd rather rely on Brightkite than on my friends to remind me.
