Latest Good Data Improvements: Better Charting and More COUNTingI am pleased to announce that we upgraded a few key features in Good Data with today's update!
1) Better Charting We've added a lot more control for chart display. You can now format text, select the number of tick marks, and add or remove axis titles & legends. The screenshot below shows how it works. Look for more improvements to charting soon - if you haven't seen Good Data's charting capabilities in a few months, you'll be surprised how much more powerful it is.
2) More COUNTingThe count metric is now easier and more powerful to use. You can now define what attributes you want to count with more specificity. For example when counting companies, you can specify what to count (companies that are my providers vs. companies that are my customers). See the screenshot below. For those of you wondering what COUNT is ... the COUNT operation counts the number of unique values contained in a given attribute. For example, COUNT of Stores will return the number of different stores based on the Store attribute.

Good Data just added some new features!First, thank you to everyone who has been giving us great suggestions. We're working hard to constantly improve Good Data and incorporate as many of your suggestions as we can. I'm pleased to announce that today we released an updated version of Good Data with the following new features:
Public Projects With public projects, you can now embed your Good Data reports onto wikis and blogs and have the reports visible to anyone, not just project members. Further, visitors will be able to join your project without an explicit invitation. We are adding public data sets to Good Data so please let us know what public data you would like to see in Good Data
Interactive Dashboards In addition to embedding tables and charts, you can now export a defined filter set, allowing your reports viewers to drill into the data in a manner defined by you.
Preview of new charts - In this release, you can see a preview of the Good Data's new charts. We've completely overhauled the charting look and feel and we hope you'll be pleased with the results!
Stay tuned for further improvements in the coming weeks, and continue sending us your ideas and suggestions to support@gooddata.com.
