SamWill asked a question in Dale Lane on July 27, 2009 15:07:
Can text be specially formatted without using a heading (+)?First line Formatting. My pages are filled with information which I group under sections. Near the top of the pages I insert the auto generated page sections.
I put the page title at the top of the page and I want it in a large font, so i use a Heading format (using the +).
However, i would prefer that the page title not be included in the auto generated sections. Is there a formatting method to allow a larger font (color, etc) without using a heading?
I can edit the css, but i don't know how to format special text other than headings.
thanks

This solution is too cumbersome. I have two or three thousand quotes. If I make each quote a page, and have pages for authors and categories, the database will be unwieldy. My idea is to expand a feature that exists, linking to a specific part of a page. The HELP uses this example for syntax: [my second page#interesting bit]. My suggestion simply combines that feature with Inner Page feature (syntax: [^mymenu]). The idea is to allow a page to include a section of inner page rather than an entire inner page. – SamWill, on January 28, 2009 16:29

Inner pages displaying only sections of another pageHi Dale, I love Blade Wiki so much my wife is getting jealous. I am a public speaker with a hundred pages of quotes and illustrations (previously stored in WORD). I am converting them to you Wiki. Thus I have 'authors' of quotes plus categories of quotes. My approach is to list the quotes in the category pages with links back to the authors. Ideally, in the author page I could insert the quote itself (which is a section within a page) from the category page but not the whole category page. So, if I have an author, Frankel, and a category, Hope, I could insert into the Frankel page something like: [[Hope]/[#Frankel quote]] - and this would link me to the section within a page.

I also used the original hompage.txt after removing the movies and it worked as well. – SamWill, on December 07, 2008 23:27

I deleted the homepage and it worked great. Thanks.
By the way, I absolutely love your Blade Wiki. I've been looking for something to store hundreds of quotations and illustrations (I'm a speaker) and this is perfect -- and runing on my PDA is icing on the cake. – SamWill, on December 07, 2008 23:21

Downloaded "Help" crashes Blade Wiki when accessedI cannot access the downloaded (and unzipped) Help on my desktop (Vista Pro). I click on Locate your wiki/custom/ then point to the help directory. It works on my PDA (Palm Treo PRO) but it crashes the Desktop with: "Blade Wiki has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.... Then it says that "to help protect your computer Data Executionn Prevention has closed Wiki
