well, once something is scheduled with sandy it will take several hours for it to appear on the Google calendar. This is a product of how Google CAlendar processes these external calendar subscriptions, and not sandy.

A comment on the problem "Sandy and google calendar sync problem" in I want Sandy:

I get the current day's events, and sometimes I get lucky and Sandy schedules something several weeks out. But the appointment that I scheduled this afternoon for 7pm tomorrow evening is not on the google calendar, although I have received the confirmation email from Sandy and it does show up under the gadget as noted above. For an evening meeting it's not such a big deal as it posts during the day, but for early morning obligations, the calendar is not blocked out in time to be useful. It would be nice if the key folks who are able to view my google calendar could also view my appointments. :) Of course, I could just post them myself like I did before I started working with Sandy, but that would defeat the purpose. – Chris, on October 06, 2008 23:25

I've got both the calendar and the gadget running. From my point of view it seems that the appointments I have sent to Sandy only get posted on Google Calendar on the morning of the day they are set to occur. Good thing I've got a good RL memory, or I would have missed a number of important meetings.

I have the same problem korym. For some reason, with repeating events if you "forget" one instance of it, google calendar keeps showing it. I've just learned to rely more heavily on the Daily Digests, and lookups.

Sync with google calendar is a hot-button item around here, and i'm sure Rael is working on something.

Question about syncing: Is there a way for Google Calendar to reflect Sandy's updates? I obviously make quite a few changes on Sandy but when I look at them on Google Calendar, they're not updated. Tasks I've checked off on Sandy will continue to reside on Google Calendar. Just curious. Thx!

Strange.. Google retrieves my feeds just fine. What kind of problem are you seeing?

The feed allows you to subscribe to the sandy calender to _view_ it in iCal, gCal, etc. But you cannot _update_ sandy via iCal, gCal, etc. Hence the _two_ way sync, the feed is only one way.

You can certainly do what you describe above easily by subscribing to Sandy's calendar of things she is handling for you from Google Calendar. Take a gander at http://iwantsandy.com/help/feeds#cale... .

I'm a single-man-band consultant, and having the ability to cal into Jott and have Sandy appoint my schedule while I'm driving would certainly save me from more near-misses ;-) (Just kidding, I NEVER text and drive)

I'd like to chime in and say that this would be a great feature. When school starts up again in August I'll be putting my class syllabi in as to-dos and it would be a lot more helpful if Sandy can tell me that I have something do the day before so I won't be running around crazy trying to get something done for a 9 am class.

Hi. Just adding to the chorus. As is the case with ICal refusing to accept Sandy's feeds (OK, iCal accepts her the first time and then won't refresh), Sandy won't work with Google. This is a critical issue and nobody seems too motivated to give this problem top priority. I got in touch with the Spanning Sync folks who told me that the problem with Sandy and iCal is a known bug that Apple acknowledges. Unlike here, Rael, I know that you bust your butt, but the folks at Spanning Sync had kludge, however awful it is. Can't the throngs of users here who have this problem get any help?
