I can't connect with Jaiku. Username and password have been checked, but it doesn't work.

I tried that. All softwares (Apple softwares) are up to date, I've tried to trash the Airport preferences and rebuild them.
The external HD is often unpluged and switched off. I turn it on and plug in it only when I want to make a backup.

I have no USB device.
Sometimes an iPod, and that's all, and nothing permanently connected.

I've got this problem too with an alu iMac. But it's a Mac Os problem : when I lost wifi with the Mac, other machines works fine (an iPod touch for example) on the same Airport Extreme base. The networks works fine, but not the iMac.

wifi lost on an iMac Leopard

I use an aluminium iMac with Leopard.
Since version 10.5.4, it sometimes "lost" wifi. I have to stop airport and start it again. Sometimes it doesn't works, and I have to close my session and re-open it.
At the same place, My iPod touch works fine : it's not an airport router problem.
Same problem with 10.5.5

Opening an url from Twhirl on Safari Windows

I use Twhirl 0.8.6 on a Windows XP PC, and my default browser is Safari 3.1.2.
When I try to open an url from Twhirl, it opens a page in cache (file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/...).
Of course, it works if the default browser is FireFox or Chrome.
I put the same question on Twhirl support.
