I have been struggling for quite some time to use a google to do list plugin and a google sticky notes plug-in and it's driving me crazy. Neither of them will save the lists I type in.
I also don't really want the straight-forward text-based to-do lists.
Why don't the plug-in's work??? I thought they were designed to work on a web site and specifically on pbwiki's 1.0 website???
It appears that they must need a cookie on the originators personal computer which sort of defeats the idea of having it on a wiki - which is supposed to be interactive. Why is the plugin not saved on pbwiki's site??

Being Banned for criticizing pbwiki staff???Ok, so when is Guy Fawkes going to be let off probation?? He just happens to be one of the people I can count on to help me figure things out. I realize he occasionally is critical of pb wiki staff - but maybe you should hire him rather than ban him. My initial feelings about Satisfaction was definitely colored by the fact that he was on line, listening and had a LOT of technical skills.
I'm rather a newbie to the wiki world, don't know why pbwiki is offering everything for free, don't really understand satisfactions relationship with pbwiki, and certainly shouldn't be criticizing a group of people offering the whole thing for free - but to tell you the truth - after I finally started to get the swing of it - I began to wonder. Specifically why:
1) pbwiki does not have a front page which lists the features available
2) do not explain limitations of the website
3) would even setup a wiki in the first place that does not allow you to
a) get rid of the side bar OR add it.
b) does not have a calendar that fills the screen, can change to monthly, weekly, daily view AND have a print feature ???
c) does not have an interactive spread sheet available ??
I mean it seems like these are the basics?? are they not?? and at the very least BEFORE you get people to sign up and spend hours and hours setting up their web pages - that you should note the features and limits it has rather than AFTER the fact. - such as no we don't have that but we're considering it.
As I said, I shouldn't bite the hand that feeds me, but I understand where Fawkes was coming from.
And it's possible I have no idea what I'm talking about. That I don't truly have a perspective on the scope of the problem and that to level ANY criticism at pbwiki is rude, crude and uncalled for. I'm sorry, I don't know where that came from. I am trying to quit smoking. Do you think you could at least have EXAMPLES of web pages to show what is possible?? with a clear explanation of what is not possible. And maybe a "why you should choose our wiki over all the other wiki's"
Thanks for listening,
Sara `

I'm completely clueless about where I'm supposed to insert: 5px 10px 5px Opt; float: left; Nothing on the Advanced section of the image's properties is obvious. Could you be more specific? – Sara, on May 09, 2008 01:58

google gadget on 2 web pages thinks it's the same gadget!I loaded 'My notes' google gadget onto one of my wiki 1.0 web pages. After much, much trials I finally got it to remember what I had typed in! So I loaded another one on a different web page.
To my sorrow, it remembers what I typed in the note on the other page!! What to do?? I want 2 separate "my notes"
To get my notes to save my notes I had to accept cookies from the designer.

Sara marked one of Rachel Pennig's replies in PBwiki as useful. Rachel Pennig replied to the question "SAVE??? PLUGIN SPREADSHEET".
A comment on the question "Paste cells from excel into wiki spreadsheet??" in PBwiki:
Well it definitely worked. I didn't quite understand what you meant by might take a bit to register! But after I came back to the page voila there it was.
Now the only problem is 1) It doesn't fit in the space between the sidebar, so you have to scroll way down. 2) It doesn't print the entire spreadsheet - it just prints the entire page! Ditto for the Calendar! What were these guys thinking??? – Sara, on April 25, 2008 01:43

Sara asked a question in PBwiki on April 24, 2008 05:07:
why did I have to sign up again??In order to post a question I had to register again?? I'm already registered with my e-mail address and the password my friend gave me when she invited me to her wiki. There is a profile there for me???
I'm worried that I'm somehow setting up my own wiki's rather that just participating in my friends wiki?
