Breed FieldThe field for the breed of pet does not accept input.

Food PercentageThank you for adding a sliding bar to refine further the food footprint! However, I find it very cumbersome to use. Food types of low percentage end up higher on the graph (I'm assuming this bar goes low to high from left to right). As I move x food type higher, another seemingly random food type y goes lower (without moving anywhere on the graph). I understand why this happens in mathematical theory, but it becomes very confusing and tedious when one food type I had previously set now changes. It might be easier if there were simply a field for each food type and the user could enter his or her percentage. It's less clever and pretty, to be sure, but probably a lot less confusing.

Pet ProjectYour MJ tribute video reminded me I have two pet cats (each of whom contribute 1100 pounds of CO2 [allegedly]). Pets should be included in the carbon footprint count--what kind, how big, whether indoor/outdoor, organic/non-organic food, etc.

Love BPIn the spirit of not complaining too much during beta testing, I'd just like to say that I'm happy to be a Brighter Planet customer. I signed up the second I heard about it and I'm thrilled with all the strides you've made, including this re-vamped website. It's going to be fantastic!

Addition ErrorMy hotel footprint is 0 and my dormitory footprint is 0, but my overall lodging footprint is 0.02.-

Subtraction ErrorI disabled rail trips, motorcycles, etc. and my overall footprint did not go down, but my transportation footprint did.
Sarah Franco asked a question in Brighter Planet on June 18, 2009 01:00:
Carbon Footprint AveragesWhen the site tells me by what percentage my footprint is higher than the average, what is the average? Is this the average of people who use the site, or is it a predetermined average? For example, my residence carbon footprint is 12.46 which is, according to the site, 165% higher than the average. ? Either I'm one a few who live in a house, or I'm gluttonous, or there's been a calculation error (other than my 97% CFL usage being entered at less than one percent).

"Please Let Us Know" Link Not WorkingI have a Jetta TDI, which is not on your options. So, I clicked on the "Not seeing the option you need? Please let us know" link and nothing happens.

Shared Services FootprintMy Shared Services-->Forest footprint is a negative number.-

ConsumablesThe site shows my consumables make up 15.84 tons CO2, yet food (which accounts for a little less than 2 tons) is the only consumable that appears. Is BP making a conjecture about my consumables (similar to shared services)? If so, a footnote to this effect should appear because I have no idea where the other 14 tons are coming from.

Food Section SuggestionFood Footprint: select percentages of meat v. vegetables in diet. I'm not a vegetarian, but I rarely eat meat, so my footprint will probably be smaller than someone who adheres to a meat and potatoes diet. Also, include something about how much seafood is consumed.
