Yeah, I'm afraid one-way import of only the most recent 100 bookmarks doesn't even come close to the feature I need to persuade me to move over to xmarks. Firstly, it needs to be the entire set of bookmarks, with the tag structure, and second, I'd really like it to be a synchronisation rather than an import. Although a one-way import would suffice for now if you could get the entire set of bookmarks along with their tags.

A comment on the question "Is there anyway of printing the overview Prezi?" in Prezi:
I think it's a bit unfair to tell people they are using it "wrong" just because they want to print from it; the beauty of something like Prezi is that it's very flexible and can be used for all kinds of things - there's no right or wrong about it!
Personally I would really like to have some means of getting the info in my Prezis into a printable format, although I'd be happy if it was simply possible to export the text from the Prezi & edit it for printing in some other software.
If you are using Prezi to replace standard presentation software, there is frequently a need to have the information available as a handout. Yes, it wouldn't always work to have a straightforward printout of the Prezi as it can be rather like a mindmap (although not everyone is using it like a mindmap, and that doesn't mean they're using it "wrong"), but there should be *some* way to print our the info it contains. Currently the only way to produce such handouts is to laboriously type it all out again, copy and paste, or take screenshots. None of these is ideal! – saskia, on November 17, 2009 16:51

Of course, the other benefit of getting a lot of delicious users syncing their bookmarks with xmarks is that you would vastly increase the pool of data you are using for your search feature, making the search tool much more useful. – saskia, on November 11, 2009 10:38-

I just discovered the new features of xmarks (having dismissed foxmarks in the past as it wasn't quite what I was looking for) and I'm particularly interested in the idea of combining a standard google search with a bookmark search. However I don't want to give up on delicious altogether (for the time being, at least), so I would also much prefer a proper sync between xmarks & delicious.
I think you'd get a lot more delicious users with this option, as it would allow us to "dip our toes in the water" without committing to an entirely new bookmark platform straight away. Hopefully (from your point of view) many of these users would eventually move across to xmarks for the bulk of their bookmarking.
Another reason people might want to keep a up-to-date mirror of their bookmarks in delicious is that there are many other tools/apps which work with delicious, as it is one of the most popular bookmarking services. At the moment, I'm not aware of any mashups etc involving xmarks, so switching entirely from delicious would close off a lot of options. Syncing with delicious would keep open the option to take advantage of these integrations.-

saskia reported a problem in Prezi on November 06, 2009 13:58:
I can't edit my prezis!I've successfully used prezi with no trouble in the past, but it suddenly seems to have developed a bug that is preventing me from editing prezis. I click on "open" and all that loads is a blank page. The title bar contains the name of the opened presentation, the address bar contains the expected web address (http://prezi.com/xxxxxxxxxx/edit/), and my browser (firefox) does not report any errors, it's just that nothing appears on the page!
I've tried creating a new prezi too, but that results in the same problem when I try to open it.
I can view my presentations perfectly well using the public URL, it just opening them to edit them that doesn't work.
The problem is very similar to those reported by other users here, however the only solution suggested in those threads was to update Flash, but I've checked and I'm definately running the most up to date version (10.0.32.18).-

saskia replied on November 03, 2009 13:03 to the idea "Internote Linking" in Evernote:
Personally I wouldn't want to be prevented from using the same tags for different notebooks (everyone has their own way of organising their notes; for me there is a lot of overlap between the kinds of info in each of my notebooks), but I can see why some people might want the *option* to restrict tags to specific notebooks. It would be nice if Evernote was more customisable to each user's needs, although there's always the danger of overcomplicating things and essentially ending up with different users using very different versions of Evernote, which would make support more difficult, for instance, and would create a steeper learning curve for new users.
A comment on the idea "Internote Linking" in Evernote:
They have actually recently released an alpha version of the new version of the windows software; apparently it required a major re-write to get it up to a standard that would allow them to add make all the improvements people want, which is why it's taken so long. But hopefully this means us windows users won't be feeling neglected for much longer!
Also, re: your comment on their web-based business model; I can't see how it's a "money losing venture" as web apps are the way most things are going these days. The tactic for most of these things seems to be to get as many free users as possible, make your product completely indispensable to them, and eventually enough of them will pay for the premium version to make a profit. It seems to be working for Evernote! It certainly worked on me - I recently paid for the premium product even though I don't have a lot of spare cash, simply because I was making enough use of Evernote that I kept creeping up close to the monthly limit and I decided it was worth it. – saskia, on September 10, 2009 13:43

saskia replied on July 10, 2009 09:01 to the question "Where is rich text editing in Evernote windows version?" in Evernote:
If you double click on a note, or click the little square icon in it's top right hand corner, the note will open in its own window, which will have a formatting toolbar at the top.
Also, you can use keyboard shortcuts to add formatting without having to open the note in it's own window. Under the "help" menu, there is a "keyboard shortcuts" option which lists the available shortcuts. Bullets can be added via ctrl+shift+b.
