Satya Newday asked a question in Sunbelt Software on July 08, 2009 00:12:
Upgrade for 3 computer packageI bought the counterspy three or more computers package for my desktop and two laptops. I am considering the $10 upgrade. Will it apply to the three computers?

It would help if Laura could offer a comparison rather than to giver her opinion that those having the same question fork over (no offense meant) another $10 to be safer. She seems to be say we should go on her recommendation rather than our own sense of reason, which is how she comes across to this reader.
The research I did last year by hunting around the sunbelt site showed VIPRE and Counterspy to use the same systems. A counterspy blurp said then "CounterSpy V2 has groundbreaking, hybrid VIPRE cutting-edge antimalware technology that protects your PC at the kernel level."So It seems they do the same things uses the same processes. So what processes are different? Do they search through memory in a different manner or search the tcp/ip stack in different manner, or what? A comparison on the sunbelt site listing the differences in a fashion that allows for a decision based on an understanding of the facts would be great. You see, even the CNET review of Counterspy2 says in several places that it has anti-virus protection and although they did not rate it for such, it hovers at or near the top of the pack for anti-spyware.
