I think this is a great idea too. I have had in mind some contest ideas along these lines. In my mind it was a series of smaller contests, but I like the idea and structure of launching it as one giant contest as well. I was using the video contest as a test of sorts to see how much traction community contests would get. I'm going to plug it in this weeks Birdbath again and I really hope a lot of submissions come in as the deadline draws near.

I'm sorry I won't be here to implement (or at least assist) in the execution of this idea, but I'll make sure to direct this to whoever replaces me and the people currently ion staff whom I think might be involved in this.

I'm all for this and I like the suggested format, all about streamlining the end-user experience. Especially if you want you gran/computer-illiterate-but-hot-girlfriend to use SB. I know, mere speculation but it's a possibility that should be considered.
