I'm curious to know how this will change now that Automattic has acquired Intense Debate. I'd really like to start using this soon, but find myself unable to under current conditions. Do we have a timeline of when this will be fixed?

I'm also interested in displaying text in a non UTF-8 encoding like ISO-8859-1 (latin-1). I posted this a couple of days ago as an issue on the Support forum of Disqus, but I haven't seen an answer.

Have you found of a workaround?

If the sites aren't being notified, i think they should start being, otherwise, there's no point in demanding OpenIDs.

I just remove the link to the WordPress comments feed from the templates, since IDC already has a link to its own comments feed on the page (which looks like just a popup, but it's also a link).
