I sent in a 34,000 Qualia, 004 projector into the service center in texas to have it upgraded to 1080p. Sent it back with scratches all over it. Great folks over there. Not likely to buy sony again.

ah! good question. Most everyone at GameLayers has an Xbox 360 and a Wii. None of us have PlayStation3s yet! We're making more badges and someday Sony will likely be up there as well at Microsoft and Nintendo and XKCD.

My brother had his PS3 crash a few weeks ago, he needed to get a receipt but once he did he got a cardboard coffin in the mail and a new one back. As for them breaking its not fairly common, searching the internet for a problem isn't going to get results of people not getting one.
