Hmm, interesting idea, and one we hadn't thought of, for sure. Schmownce is currently a Ruby on Rails app, and I think that RoR probably still has a ways to go before it will be a mass-installable medium, like Wordpress. There are certain hosting requirements and setup that would be difficult to support, I think.

Plugins, modules, desktop apps, and the like are probably more of a likelihood in the near future.

Hi moonliter, yes, this issue has been fixed. You can change your e-mail address to your Gmail address in your Profile area. You should get all post + comment notification e-mails there. They may get sent to your spam folder, so be able to check there. If so, mark a couple as "not spam" and they should start going to your Inbox. Let us know if that works for you. :D
