A comment on the idea "Adding Groups or Stacks to Tweetie for Mac" in atebits:
Well we could do that. Sure.
But let's also hope Loren takes all this on board and reconsiders any lines in the sand he may or may not have drawn. It seems to be a big deal to some people. – Jonathan Wight, on April 20, 2009 15:13

(Window menu/Open in New Window). they clutter up what would be a nice simple UI though. – Jonathan Wight, on April 20, 2009 15:10

Jim's reply to "Adding Groups or Stacks to Tweetie for Mac" was just promoted to the most useful! Jonathan Wight and 9 other people think it's one of the best replies.
There's no need for APIs from Twitter in order to have groups. EventBox has a "groups-like" feature in the way of Smart Folders. You add users to Smart Folders and it simply filters existing Tweets in the timeline to only include the Tweets by those users. No API calls are made because they're already there.
This is just pure stubborness by the developer to not include the feature that virtually every Twitter user wants. Unfortunately, it wrecks an otherwise spectacular Twitter desktop app.

Check for Update menu title incorrect. This is such an anal bug I can't believe I'm reporting it... But here goes anyway...
The "Check for Update" menu item should probably read "Check for Updates...". The ellipsis signifies that the menu item will present further UI and/or require further user action. And "Check for Update" just sounds wrong. The pluralised version sounds better (to my ears at least).
Told you that was anal.

Floating below applications.I'd like the main window to float just above the desktop picture, but below Finder icons. I do not want the window floating above any application windows. I also don't want it clickable.
The idea is I want it to be always present during the day, so I can see it - but not be bothered with it. I dont want to have to remember to activate or deactivate it. I just want it there when I close an application's window.
I don't mind if this is a secret NSUserDefaults - in fact that would be perfect - because I could then experiment with the window level myself.
