Here's what I found:

If I run this command:

lsof -i TCP | grep -i java

I get no output at all until I a) run MoneyDance and b) perform some action that makes MoneyDance request some info over the Internet. At this point, the alert dialog appears and running the command gives this:

Then, doesn't matter how or when I dismiss the alert -- running the lsof command gives the same output until I close down MoneyDance.

Note that I've gotten the alert in at least these scenarios:

1. launching the app with the auto-updater plugin enabled.
2. after download transactions.
3. after clicking "Next" when loading extensions from the Internet.

Same issue here. And although I can get rid of the popup alert on startup by disabling the auto-updater plugin (not a good solution since I'd like to know when updates are available...)... I still get the alert when I ask to download transactions.

And whether or not the app needs to allow incoming connections (don't see why it would)... there's some kind of bug here because I've specifically given Moneydance firewall permissions in my Network settings (OS X 10.5.6) and it still asks.

btw... it's now supported. !

I'd like TD Bank to be supported as well. The current list of online banks in the software is now out of date since Commerce Bank and TD North have combined into TD Bank.
