For (1) if you right click the folder in questions, choose properties and then rebuild index, does that fix the issue?

Try that same trick for the junk folder for (2).

You should only have to confirm the security exception one time and Postbox should never prompt you again.

Are you checking the option to permamently store this exception when prompted?

If you press 'A' when a message is selected it will move the message to the archive folder. I suspect that's what happened for the one message you found in archive.

I meant uncheck moving new junk messages to the Junk folder to avoid having messages get moved unexpectedly for you. But you need to train the filter with good and bad e-mails before it will start marking the right set of messages as junk.

Any errors in Tools / Error Console when you try to select your inbox and it fails to switch folders?

Also can you try disabling any add-ons to see if that fixes it?

Do you have any add-ons installed Mike? Sounds like you are using a custom start page, for grins if you reset it back to the default start page does that fix things?
