Thanks mate. I will post the details.
On the rant note though, I've posted this issue on a couple of web sites, including the developers, and while a few other users have had the same issue, no one seems to be able to fix it.
I emailed the developer about a dozen times, and only got an response when I got a bit heated in my email ("PLEASE RESPOND THIS IS RIDICULOUS" in the subject etc... nothing abusive because I don't work like that) . The response was short, unhelpful and rude.
We then had an exchange of two emails, about my issue, got nothing fixed and he started ignoring me again. After searching I found several people who've had similar experiences with this joker.
So my post was genuinely suggesting to people not to deal with this guy. Not unlike I would suggest people not deal with a plumber or mechanic who is rude and unhelpful when things go wrong.
It's ironic that the first time I've posted something somewhere without the actual issue I've had a response from someone offering to help.
If you are able to help then as mentioned I'd be very grateful. But alas I still stand by my recommendation not to deal with this guy.
Basically my issue is pretty simple but seems as though there is no fix.
If I do a search that goes beyond one page for results, then it seems to freeze the program and the dreaded mac beach ball icon appears.
I've tried reinstalling and even rebuilt my mac (rebuilt because I got the new Logic Studio and fancied a rebuild, didn't rebuild for Xtorrent), and that hasn't fixed the issue.
I did ask the developer if I can supply any logs or other info, but alas that was after the last time I started being ignored again.

I don't care how many people are in the company, if you make, and sell (i.e. take peoples money) for software then you need to support it.
Or at lease make the point when you sell it that the software is not supported.
And the end of the day this guy has my money, and I have a problem that he has either ignored my emails about, or when he's gotten back to me has been rude and unhelpful.
How does him being a "one-man outfit" got anything to do with that.
I mean even if he got back to me and gave a couple of quick suggestions and then tell me he can't provide full support because he's an, as you say, one man outfit.
I'd been to several forums where people had the same issue and had similar responses from this guy. They had also been unable to solve their issue.
This post was to warn people of what they get when they deal with him and I stand by what I said.
I'm actually up early on a Sunday morning (London UK) so happen to see your post and am on my way out to a day in the country.
But if you have any knowledge about the product I would be happy to post the issue and would be very grateful for your help.
On one other note, I have complimented his software in other posts, I do think he makes good software, but if you're unhelpful, and even worse, rude to people, then posts like my original will no doubt start appearing.
When I return home today and have more time I would be glad to post some links with people who have had similar experiences, but I only had to use Google to find them.
Thanks Scott.

DON'T BUY XTORRENT, OR ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANYForget about it if you have a problem with this software. This guy/company doesn't care.
If you're reading this before purchasing the software, DON"T BUY IT.
