Ah, yep, you are correct. I should have thought to try a force-reload before :)

If I might make a suggestion, though, perhaps you could alter the way images are served so that it changes the filename of the image it's looking for, and then nothing would be cached. I'm not sure how technically feasible that is, but just an idea.

I just attempted to replace the image on Bearonica's Berry Tea from Adagio with an image of the tea leaves and bits themselves. I used the "Image from URL" option, pasted in the URL as usual, and hit save changes.

Everything looks to go through normally, there are no error messages, and yet the image does not change.

With all due respect, Steve, I think you are out of line. I think Thor addressed you very respectfully and explained the reasons for the timeline adequately. I'm not running noscript. I AM only allowing cookies for specified domains, however. GetSatisfaction.com is on the list of allowed domains, and yet I see the message above. I, too, can fully participate on the site, even when I see the message.

When I change the Firefox cookies setting to Allow, but "Ask me every time" how long to keep them, it asks me to set four different cookies at two different subdomains of quantserve.com.

Is your cookie/JS checking script checking to see if we allow these quantserve.com cookies?

Yeah, even putting s4.feeddo.com on the whitelist, it still checks the preference set in FF3. Please let me know if you find out it is in fact a bug in FF3. Unfortunately, I won't compromise my privacy and security to set that preference, so I'll wait it out.

I value my privacy online, and I also do not want Firefox to get cluttered with cookies from services that I do not wish to support. For this reason, I accept no cookies except for the ones I explicitly allow in the Firefox cookie preferences (a "whitelist" approach). I'd be happy to allow the domains required for Feedly, and by temporarily allowing cookies and checking from where they are being set, I've added feeddo.com and pheedo.com, but it still will not let me through if I turn off the cookie preference in Firefox again.

Is the warning screen tied to the Firefox preference such that there is no way to get through without that preference being on? A workaround would be much appreciated.

I e-mailed this to Edwin directly, but I wanted to gauge the community's reaction, as well. I don't want to see friend-of-a-friend recommendations. For example, I care what Leo Laporte might wish to share with me, but I don't care what any of his other thousands of friends that I don't know want to share :) I'd like the option to disable friend-of-a-friend recommendations and only receive direct friend recommendations.

Thoughts?
