as avner said, i lose half my IQ the second my ass hits the sofa cushion. if i'm looking for a tv show, i don't want to have to remember the network, which site broadcasts which network, whether or not it might be in netflix, etc. i want a to search all of the video sources for the title of the show.

i heard a rumor (relatively well validated) that Google is releasing a boxee-like device in june/july. if boxee could get federated search before then, you'll be well ahead of the curve.

it seems like someone buys up all the good tickets and then just resells them for more money. Like scalping, but i guess more democratic ... since you don't have to know the scalper. Don't get me wrong, I like the service, but I do feel a little ripped off sometimes.

i'm pretty sure you can do this by setting up the airport express as a bridge. haven't gone through the process in a while, but it was *somewhat* self-explanatory in the setup assistant. i had no difficulty keeping the network up and running once i got the set-up right ... even when nodes got unplugged and plugged back in.

keep in mind that your connection will be PAINFULLY slow when using the time capsule to wirelessly do time machine back-ups ... no idea why they don't use bonjour for this!?! My imac (160G) takes more than 24 hours. However, just for accessing files, it's pretty fast.

I went to the Google Group before I came to Get Satisfaction. No help on this issue there ... in fact most of the topics have nothing to do with UE; they are much more focused on the technology.

It's also not clear that Google employees are actually communicating with people on the boards. But thanks for the heads up ... I'll try it.

However, I'm still really confused. Are you saying that if i have a table with 7 columns and I want to change the width of each, then i have to manually change it in each of the seven columns? I think you should add a check box to the "change table" box that let's me resize all columns equally. I'm pretty sure that's what Word and Pages do.

I really really want to use docs exclusively (at least for internal document creation), but a few UE and functionality bugs make it really really hard. It's hard to rationalize spending 20 minutes formatting something as simple as a table.

Help!

how do you resize column widths?
if you add a column, it's impossible to get them all the right size again.
the modify entire table function doesn't include this as an option.

We're a google*apps shop here and yet this problem makes docs almost unusable.
