I have my blog name configured, but I have that section of WP tags commented out in the header file. Would that prevent this from working. I still can't login to ID comments in my WP admin, but I can login directly at the ID site. – Scott Ott, on August 06, 2009 17:15
Scott Ott reported a problem in IntenseDebate on June 15, 2009 10:52:
Intense Debate WP Plugin is an Alpha ReleaseAs much as I love the concept, and feature set of the Intense Debate plugin, I have never had so many problems with a WordPress plugin (and I have used dozens of plugins), with no apparent hope of resolution. From my perspective, Intense Debate is an Alpha release (not even ready for Beta) that needs intense attention from developers who actually use WordPress blogs. How many bloggers are willing to take their comment systems offline for hours on end in the vain hope that the WP comments will import, only to find that they don't (10 tries so far), despite the cheerful "Import Complete" emails one receives? Again, I love the idea of this plugin, so please notify me if it ever becomes a stable 1.0 release. BTW, it didn't work for WP v. 2.7 nor 2.8. And the new ID v. 2.2 works no better than the previous one. Read the comments on the WP Plugins page for more cautionary tales.

SOLVED: However, you may need another Mac to pull this off. After many failed attempts to restore the iPhone on my iMac, I switched to my MacBook (which I never use for syncing the iPhone). It successfully installed iPhone 2.0, but could not activate the phone. I then reconnected to the iMac, and it activated the phone and now appears to be restoring my data to the phone.
As I typed this, my homescreen appeared on the iPhone, with the new App Store icon. It's now syncing.

Scott Ott asked a question in Apple on July 12, 2008 10:19:
After iPhone 2.0 upgrade, Stuck in Recovery ModeiTunes shows I've upgraded to the latest iPhone firmware (presumably 2.0 although the version indicator says n/a. However, I get an error message that says "iTunes has detected and iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.
If I try to Restore again, or Option>Restore it eventually brings me back to the same error. In brief, I think I have iPhone 2.0 installed, I just can't restore my phone.

Just wanted to say thanks for this feature. Love it.
Still trying to figure out how to do this with my IM client and Twitter. Tried it once, but since a carriage return sends the IM, I couldn't put each item on a separate line. Just separating them with asterisks produced one item (in this case a list of book titles all strung together).
Chris, I think that you would get each item individually if they were reminders of something to do at a particular time. Since you're just asking Sandy to remember a list of stuff, and listing them all with the same tag (@errand), Sandy just remembers the list. That's a rookie guess.-

Yes, I am the admin, and the only representative. I had not even discovered the admin panel yet...my first several hours of learning this. And now it does show that we have an employee online...me.
Now, if I can figure out how to post the FAQs without asking and answering my own questions, we'll be doing great. I'll keep reading ASAP.

Scott Ott, an employee of Victory Valley Camp, replied on December 21, 2007 21:12 to the question "How Do You Register Your Camper Online?" in Victory Valley Camp:
How to Register Online for Sno-Valley
We’re testing a new online registration system, so if you have registered online in the past things will be a bit different, and we hope, better this time. The one potential inconvenience will be that your old username and password don’t exist in this new system. Follow these simple instructions to get started. [Note: You’ll need a Windows PC with an Internet Explorer browser, which is what most folks have.]
1. When you click the “Register Online” link, or the big blue button in the left margin, you’ll see a page with a heading that says For New Campers: choose : “My Camper is New to the Camp and I do not have a User Account”
2. The next page will ask for a “Restart” email address and password. In case you get interrupted before completing the registration process, you’ll use those to get back in and pick up where you left off.
3. Complete the rest of the forms, which should be self-explanatory. (Info about child, your contact info, the health form, cabinmate requests, and billing information.)
4. After you enter the first child, you can “Add a Camper” to add others.
5. If you pay with a credit card your bill will show “Parent Communicator Recsoft” (the company that made the registration gizmo). You may also pay with a check that you then mail in.
6. We’d love to get feedback from you about how well the system worked, and how we can improve it. Just email: info@VictoryValleyCamp.org, or call: 610-966-5880
7. Technical difficulties? Call our registration partner, CampWise RecSoft at: 866-297-7111
