Scott replied on July 24, 2008 14:04 to the problem "CSE 3.0 Won't update and isn't hearing from clients" in Sunbelt Software:
I'm curious to know how long the threats were allowed to load. The threat database is large and when the GUI list of threats need to be loaded it can appear that the console has stopped responding.
Also we've changed the way CSE does update definitions, when the CSE server calls into our updates server it first connects to one server to check to see what definitions you need and then a second connection to the server that hands out the definitions. If you have a firewall that is configured to get updates from a specific address this cause issue getting updates. Our new server that was added recently is: http://PSC.sunbeltsoftware.com
I would like to have a technician work with you on this issue, please contact our support department and open a ticket.

Scott replied on June 23, 2008 12:43 to the problem "Can't update the app." in Sunbelt Software:
If you have access to another workstation try and install SNSI to a separate workstation and see if you get the same error. With the error of "Access is denied" this sounds like a permission problem.
You can download SNSI from: http://go.sunbeltsoftware.com/?linkid...

Scott replied on June 11, 2008 13:31 to the question "Spam from myself - Ninja & Exchange 2003" in Sunbelt Software:
The spam you are seeing are a result of the spammer spoofing your email address and Ninja is seeing this as internal mail. Antispoofing is a feature in Ninja Email Security that will address this type of spam attack, below should walk you through making sure it's enabled and configured correctly:
Make sure you have the Anti-Spoofing feature enabled. You can verify this by going to:
Settings>>Domains>>Antispoofing Tab
Put a check in the box to enable the feature.
Leave the local host address (127.0.0.1).
Now you will want to add an IP address for your Exchange Server(s). For multiple Exchange Servers repeat the steps below for each Exchange Server in your organization.
*Click 'Add'
*Choose 'Single Host'
*In the Address field type the internal address of your Exchange Server.
*Press OK.
*Apply the changes
Now this should treat spoofed messages as external and go through the filters.
One thing that will work against the Antispoofing feature is any allow rules for your domain. Be sure to remove any rules (global or policy) or entries in the personal allow senders folders that whitelist your domain.
