The problem went away after several emails and phone calls to my ISP [vigin media] who seemed to have a routing issue getting to feedly.com-

Sorry I should of said I've already installed the feedly addon - i'll try reinstall - is there any compatibility issues with other add-ons? i have a fair few installed -
