Hi Paul,
We've done some light testing on a Mac, although most of the development was done on a Windows box. What other extensions are you using?
When you close the ThumbStrips window can you re-open it and have ThumbStrips function normally?
As far as scrolling is concerned, try turning off the option for "Scroll by moving mouse along Thumbstrip" under configure -> options in the ThumbStrips menu. Scrolling can be sensitive and turning this off will only scroll if you use the scrollbars and will ignore your mouse position.
Hope this helps.

Hi bidibule,
ThumbStrips could be in conflict with another extension. Do you run a lot of add-ons? We've had some users report similar issues and they were running 50+ add-ons.
When the delete function fails are you noticing any Javascript errors in Tools -> Error Console? All ThumbStrips related messages are prefixed with [thumbstrips].

Scott replied on October 24, 2008 14:34 to the problem "Conflicting software licenses" in ThumbStrips:
Hi Dragonfyre13,
When we first launched ThumbStrips it was only available on the Intuit Labs website at http://intuitlabs.com/apps/thumbstrips Our legal folks required that we present the user with our EULA before downloading ThumbStrips. Eventually we moved ThumbStrips to the Mozilla site https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire..., which uses the MPL license.
You bring up the exact topic we're working towards now regarding Open Sourcing ThumbStrips. We think ThumbStrips would thrive in the Open Source community and I'm driving this effort as we speak. Our legal department has approved the use of the MPL license once we Open Source the extension. I'm looking for a ThumbStrips user who would like to help drive ThumbStrips once it's Open Sourced. Would you be interesting in helping? I plan on using SourceForge.net as the Open Source platform.
We've been gathering feedback from our users via our blog, the Get Satisfaction site, and the Mozilla site. Regarding the docking panels issue, our goal in asking the users if they've seen other extensions do something similar was never intended to use similar code to improve ThumbStrips. We've heard from users that they want ThumbStrips to be dockable on the right or left side of the browser and not just on the bottom like we built it. We simply wanted to see what this looked like to help or brainstorming in how to improve ThumbStrips based on customer feedback.
Hope this helps.

I'll take note of that feature request. We talked about this at one point, but were concerned that a huge browsing session (hours) would result in hundreds of thumbnails and loading on start up could be painful. Nonetheless, we've heard other users asking for this feature so we'll add it to the list thanks!

Hi fireforx2008,
ThumbStrips will save your last browser session in a file called "_ThumbStrips History from Last Browser Session" that you can load by going to configure -> My Thumbstrips and clicking on that file name.
You can also save your ThumbStrip before you close your browser by going to configure -> Save/Share in the ThumbStrips menu.
Hope that helps!

Hi firefox2008,
Can you tell me what operating system you're running? What version of Firefox are you using?
I think you're referring to the issue where on first load of Firefox, the status bar shows the divider between the bottom portion of the browser and the ThumbStrips viewer. In the code we have the divider's visibility set to "hidden", but it appears it doesn't hide until ThumbStrips is opened then closed.
Scott replied on September 22, 2008 13:50 to the question "RSS feed on private wikis - invalid security certificate" in PBwiki:
Hi Cliff,
Our wiki is now public and we're still experiencing the feed problem.
If you try and subscribe to https://usercontribution.intuit.com/r... you will see the error.
We're using the custom domain of usercontribution.intuit.com to point to usercontribution.pbwiki.com. I noticed that the https://usercontribution.pbwiki.com/r... feed works (note the pbwiki in the URL). Is there a way to have the usercontribution.intuit.com URL feed work or as a work around change the feed URL to use pbwiki?
Thanks!

Scott asked a question in PBwiki on September 19, 2008 16:00:
RSS feed on private wikis - invalid security certificateWe are using a custom domain for our private wiki. When you try and subscribe to the RSS feed, you get a "secure connection failed" error in FF3. It says the site uses an invalid security certificate with error code ssl_error_bad_cert_domain. Any ideas?
This may be related to another issue we're having where you get a domain name mismatch error when you access the site using the custom domain.
Is the invalid security certificate on our end or something we can fix via PBwiki settings?
Thanks!

Scott replied on September 11, 2008 15:07 to the question "deleting pages/icons" in ThumbStrips:
Hey Jeremy,
A single key press would be cool. However, it's a bit tricky since in order to determine which thumbnail you want to delete, you have to select it first, then delete.
After you close your browser, your thumbnails are saved in a file called "_ThumbStrips History from Last Browser Session". You can access this file by going to configure -> My Thumbstrips. This file is overwritten each time you close your browser so it only represents your last browsing session.

I also have this problem, but the Wiki is up and running just fine. When I enter my custom domain, I get a pop-up in Firefox that reads, "You have attempted to establish a connection with "custom domain name". However, the security certificate presented belongs to "*.pbwiki.com". It is possible, though unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept your communication with this web site." If I click Ok, our wiki loads just fine, but this security error window is a clunky step in accessing our wiki. Is there anything I can do on my end to make this go away?-

Scott replied on September 10, 2008 16:56 to the question "deleting pages/icons" in ThumbStrips:
Hi Jeremy,
Yes, the only way to delete an individual thumbnail is to right-click and select delete. If you wanted to delete the entire thumbstrip (all thumbnails) then you can select configure -> Clear Thumbstrip from the ThumbStrips menu.
Is there another method you'd like to make deleting thumbnails easier? We'd love to hear it!
