A comment on the discussion "Being Banned for criticizing pbwiki staff???" in PBwiki:
Yes, he was often helpful, but he also showed a flagrant disregard for civil discourse as it suited him. He had the choice to stay and be helpful, or to continue to be inflammatory (a very different thing than honest criticism) and have his account disabled. This was repeatedly made clear to him. He chose the latter. The choice was always his. Since then he has chosen not to express any regret for his past choices, but to amplify his unabashed contempt for our policies. We think this speaks for itself. – Thor Muller, on May 29, 2008 15:52

By the way, I just realized that there is another forum out there to help with pbwiki questions: http://pbwidget.freeforums.org/index.php. Looks like Guy Fawkes started it as a discussion of the old Widget Library which got tougher to use in V.2, but I bet the people there will answer more general questions too.

Wow, that's weak. Banning a user that consistently was able to point out flaws and offer solutions because some staff got their feelings hurt? I generally found Guy Fawkes' advice in the get satisfaction forums to be practical and useful, in direct opposition to most pbwiki staff advice. Staff tended to answer by saying "e-mail us directly". Well, I wouldn't be using the forums if I wanted answers via e-mail. The reason I like wiki's is for the collaboration - the same thing I like about solving problem in forums. You've just managed to remove one of the few people that I trusted to be able to help solve problems in a way that anyone could understand and apply to their own situation. Good thing I stopped bothering with get satisfaction weeks ago anyway.

Hi Geoff,
This feature is available in PBwiki 2.0. Head on over to www.pbwiki.com to create a wiki and check it out

Do you have folders for wikis?Folders for wikis. I have 75+ student wikis which I oversee. It would be handy to have them in folders for their respective classes. Is this feature available?

Hi I am an aussie - an eLibrarian at a K-12 school and have been creating dozens of wikis for our school using pbwiki.
I have put together some how to slides that may help get you started. They are not definitive but do include some cool tricks.

Sorry about that. PBwiki is designed for large, well-funded corporate entities who place a high value on security and audit capabilities. They are reportedly working on streamlining the many issues encountered by educational users who are not a good fit for the business use case. Stay tuned to their blog for additional information.

PBwiki Quick Start emailsThanks for the PBwiki Quick Start emails but I have been flooded with them due to the fact I have set up wiki sites for all my students. This has meant that with 7 emails in the series and I have nearly 20+ wiki sites I have received 240+ emails.
Perhaps just send one email to the administrator.
All up though a helpful service.
Regards,
Geoff

Any Aussies here? G'day Mate from Australia!G'day Mate.
I am new to PBwiki and think it is great. I am a new teacher to the TAFE (Technical and Further Education) system. For those in the USA it is another form of further education other than going to university.
I am just starting to use PBwiki for my students and learning heaps from all the resources that are provided.
Are there any people using Get Satisfaction that are from Down Under?

Presenter Pack infoGreat product which I am getting used to using and sharing about. I noticed a typo in your Educators presenter pack. It is on the PB wiki Security pdf in the monitor area - 'vabout' should be about.
Keep up the good work.
