It seems so odd to me that a site about building lists of books really lacks anyway to share a recommendation. I can build a list of books, I can add a bunch of 'friends', but what can I _do_ with them. I can look at their books, maybe add a comment or rate it. It seems to be a site about what I can do, about putting my stamp on things. I want to share, I want to know more about the community that forms around common readings. It seems the site is strongly focused on bringing all this 'to' me but there is little about me 'giving'

Makes me feel self centered...

Are there plans to enable connecting through a tunnel or a proxy in Expandrive? it seems that this is/was a feature in sftpdrive? Or am I missing something?

on 10.5 one could probably use FSEventSubscriptions or the UKKQueue on 10.4 to watch for changes in folders it would catch most saves and renames, but from what i have seen they don't really watch for 'open' events some apps you might be able to query them with appleEvents or scriptingBridge to get lists of open documents...

I wonder is using NSPredicateEditor might not enable you to make something that would let you hit a larger set of your users. GIven that it gives a shared experience with mail and finder search interfaces (though I would love regex support ;)

is there a way to match partial page titles in safari? For example I have bug tracking pages that are "#### - Mantis" where the #### is different areas in the mantis issue tracking and I would like to aggregate time spent in mantis and the #### is also dynamic as it might have an issue number in it. Fogbugz also has a fixed part of the title and a variable component. As does trac and other issue tracking systems that I have to use with clients

Is update checking not working or is it just me? I'm running Version 1.20 (2008.12.07) and update checking keeps reporting errors
