plasma televisions initially have a better visual quality. the pictures look better, however, from the moment a plasma tv is turned on the quality of the images slowly deteriorates
lcd tv s arent quite as good visually at first, but are very very close. thing is that the quality of their images does not fade. the images will look just as nice 3 years down the road as they do now.
eventually (like about a year or so) the plasma tv will have degraded to the point that the lcd is better
