I am stuck in the loop of being unable to restore my account that is still showing but not letting me update. I didn't delete it, & don't understand why it is seemingly deleted!
Its all bit of a pain after a long time using twitter for heaps of stuff.

Yeah, that's what I did ("no response yet for the support request at twitter.com/help"). Thanks for the time estimate though, it's been about 4 days so far and I was starting to wonder... I think you may be better off logging a support ticket at http://twitter.com/help (though be forewarned it's usually 4 to 5 days before someone responds -- I suspect they have a bit of a backlog). – mdy, on July 04, 2008 12:33

It keeps telling me to wait 24 hours, when it's clearly been longer.

It just seems to be my profile that's gone though, I can still post, receive updates, and even grab my RSS feed.

I also have this problem for a few days.I deleted my account and wanted to restore it back but twitter always says "it takes 24 hours to be deleted"!!!

If I remember right, it's support {at} twitter {dot} com and help {at} twitter {dot} com. Having said that, I actually prefer to use the support page at http://twitter.com/help because it's attached to their issue tracking system, and I don't have to wonder if my email will be able to get through their spam filters. If there are parts of the form that are not applicable to your problem, you can just leave it blank. – mdy, on May 26, 2008 06:20

I requested my account be restored about 36 hours ago and, like Isaac, am also awaiting an e-mail to confirm that it has been done. Hard to believe it is this difficult to restore an account or even get help in doing so.

I thought it said an account could be restored for up to six months. Maybe they meant it could take up to six months to restore an account.

Requested the restore about 24 hours ago and clicked on the link in the email. They said it could take some time to pull it all back togther. Still waiting for the Twitter email to say "things are all back together."

things seem to be fixed for me now! i was able to undelete my account and follow twitter's confirmation emails to get things going again. it's been a long time coming on the user service, but maybe i'll give twitter another chance...

Also, one more thing re:above... I received text responses to my phone after restoring that said I had the wrong PIN but I'd never set it up to require one and it was set to NULL (no pin) in my device preferences.

Problem solved by deleting the phone number, re-entering it, and reverifying.

I got a message from Crystal last night that the bug was fixed, but it wasn't.....then I tried a few times today, and finally FINALLY my precious Twitter was back!
