I have the same problem - I have months of data (all trending broadly in the right direction) but after an indulgent weekend the projection looks just like the screenshot posted. It sounds like a bug, but if it's working as intended an option might be to allow user to configure how much historical data they want incorporated into calculating the projection. So if a user has been very happy with their last week of losses/gains they could select that as an option, whereas if they see their last week as an unfortunate slip they could have the projection based on the overall trend of the last year.

Quick edit - don't take this single issue as a reflection of my satisfaction with your products. I am pleased with both purchases, use Weightbot everyday, and think it's absolutely fantastic.
