Here's a temporary fix for the problem:
1. Bookmark a song (or artist). A popup window will appear.
2. Make the popup as small as possible and move it to a corner of the screen. Don't minimize it. AND DON'T CLOSE IT.
3. Each time you bookmark a song, the same popup window will be brought to the front, but since it is hiding in a corner, you won't notice it —much. (If the window was minimized, it will un-minimize itself.)

I think it would be a good idea if the current window shows a confirmation for a few seconds: "You have bookmarked (name of song)." with an undo link and a link to open bookmarks in a new window.
