Gee how about we dont Talk. Gtalk/Gmail dead.

My Google Talk does not work, neither from iGoogle, Talk Gadget, Gmail, Jabber Network, iChat, etc.
Can it be fixed or is it doomed to just simply never work. The problem is it doesnt show my contacts which are online, or any contacts for that matter and my friends see me as offline. And yes the Turn on chat function is on.

Its official it doesnt work on my iPhone, on iGoogle, on my jabber network. Its just dead. As if my mail account is not linked with my Google Talk

Sometimes my connection is a little skittish, and I'll get these problems. Have you tried opening chat in iGoogle? That worked for me last time.

First, take a look at the bottom of the screen for this line:
Gmail view: standard | turn off chat | basic HTML Learn more
Make sure that it says "turn off chat", not "turn on chat".

If that doesn't help, give us more information. "Does not work" could mean an awful lot of things, so there's no starting point from which to debug.

I'm not on the Gmail team, but I might be able to point you in the right direction.

Chatless Gmail

My Google Chat does not work. Ive tried all the troubleshoots (Not a browser/better gmail/gmail settings/computer/etc problem) I think there is something genuienly wrong with it.
