Shrinking dates (e.g. October->Oct)Shortening dates ought to be pretty easy. As in, October 8 to Oct8 or 10/8 (the latter being more controversial because it is not internationally read the same way). Also, if someone puts in a date as the 8th or 3rd or 21st, you could shave off those trailing characters.

Right, which is why I suggested it would be an option for the creator. That way, the creator could decide how secure they want their email address to be.
Are you trying to serve the people who sign up for your service, or the people who then follow the links? If you're doing the latter... well, I think you're doing it wrong. :)
