The combination ctrl+alt may be different. But i'm fairly sure it works on linux.

In wualas main window, press Ctrl+alt+D (Assuming Windows). Select packet loss meter. Let is run for a good 10 or more minutes. What are the two values?

I seem to be having this problem now. All of a sudden, nothing will upload and files remain as in "local" state. Sometimes it will try to upload again, and all the files are queued in the upload list but they just cancel one by one and remain local. I've tested my connection and opened the port. Any suggestions?

We've found an upload bug today that lead to problems in networks with high latency. Try again tomorrow night, it should be resolved by then (if that was the cause).

I believe the service provider is blocking it incoming connections: that's what the test in the preference menu says. I can see other people's stuff. Just can't upload.

when your upload provider blocks this port even for outgoing connections - yes. Otherwise no. You can change the used ports in the setting. Maybe try to use an open one..

Thanks, I tried that too. The online status is green, but even without my firewall in place, my service provider is blocking the port. Does that mean I can't upload stuff?

I used that code a while ago. No problems. Once you have an account, the code you used doesn't matter.

You might want to check that you are "suitable for trading storage". Options, connection section. It may help forwarding that port.

I'm trying to upload files as a test, and not getting anywhere: it says "upload scheduled" and starting it in the upload window just tries a few kilobytes. I thought your service might be down yesterday when I tried.

I used the invitation code at the end of the google tech video to get in -- is that the problem?

Also, I'd like to read your papers on wua.la you mentionned in the google tech talk. Where are they?
