Robio,
Yes, it is possible to only index local files. (I'm assuming you are talking about the mail under "Local Folders").
Go into Tools | Account Settings, and for your gmail IMAP server, look under "Offline & Disk Space" and uncheck the "Index Messages".
By default, Postbox indexes messages for all accounts (except NNTP accounts).

jpmaxman,
Yu posted a screen shot to the Apple Crash reporter with a SIGABRT in it.
Can you find and send the complete crash report to support@postbox-inc.com?
Thanks in advance,

Seth replied on November 17, 2009 17:53 to the problem "Search Results Not Returning Good/Proper Results" in Postbox, Inc.:
Josh,
1) the "Jess won't find mails from Jess" problem
That should work, as we index and search over the From headers. Once you figure out which message Postbox is failing to find, can you check a couple things for me?
a) What is the From header? For example: "From: Jess Smith <jsmith@gmail.com>"
b) Is the folder that contains the message is fully indexed? (Do Tools | Indexing | Index This Folder)
2) the "Jess won't find mails from Jessica" problem
To keep search fast and the improve the quality of search results, we don't automatically do prefix searching. If you want to find both Jess and Jessica, search for Jess* (note the trailing asterisk).
There is a hidden pref (mail.search.auto_prefix) that will automatically treat all searches as prefix searches.
3) "spotlight integration"
We have a bug tracking that issue, so it's on our radar.
Thanks for using Postbox,
-Seth

Bex,
Can you send a screenshot of the problem and a copy of the messages source to support@postbox-inc.com?
A few more questions:
1) Is this message a reply or a forwarded message?
2) When you view the message source, does the have a signature (at the point where it gets cut off?)

Can you elaborate on this? Does that mean you had entered the license once before?
Are you on Windows or Mac? I'm interested to know what's in your Profile directory, if you have multiple profiles, or if the "old files" are still there.

Seth replied on November 17, 2009 00:10 to the problem "license failed restore settings" in Postbox, Inc.:
Behezad,
Thanks for letting us know about this serious issue.
A few questions:
1) Was this Postbox 1.0.2 or another version?
2) Did you lose all your settings and and emails immediately upon entering the license, or upon the next restart?
3) Do you have any add-ons installed?
4) Did you see the notifications (over the the past two weeks) warning you that the demo version would be expiring soon?
Thanks,
-Seth
