But you're using Alert Bulletins for a different purpose other then what it was intended to be used for. I doubt TRMS will add the option to change the name of Alert Bulletin. If they did, they might as well add the option to edit other names to fit the end user.

By the way, why are you using Alert Bulletins for normal bulletins? I'm guessing your channel has multiple zones and you're using Alert Bulletins to show something rather then putting it in another zone?

Anyway to have an image appear over a video in a bulletin? I tried doing this and even put the image infront of the video but the video just appears over everything.

Is it possible to have a full alert bulletin act like a normal bulletin? Reason being is I have a demo channel running at a mall and would like to have a full alert bulletin display every 20 seconds with a message, then fade away and have the demo channel come back, then another 20 seconds have the full alert bulletin pop back up. Would this be possible?

Bulk image bulletin uploader idea

I think it would be awesome if there was a bulk picture bulletin feature. It would be like uploading a single new bulletin as a picture but where you go to select your picture, there are multiple boxes (maybe up to 10?) where you can select images. The different images represent different bulletins. After selecting as many as need, you would continue like normal and be brought to the schedule screen. From there, you select your schedule dates and they would be programmed to the other picture bulletins as well. Same goes for Timing and Transitions. When you hit finish, all the picture bulletins will be grouped together with the same scheduling/timing/transitions. And from the Manage Bulletins tab, you could simply ungroup them.

I have a solo-220 and wondering if Carousel can display separate channels on separate monitors. As in, one monitor has one channel being displayed and the other monitor has the other channel being displayed using one Solo-220.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the problem lies with the Field Style option. In the template editor, right under where you can name a block, there's an area called Field Style. Change it from EditField to TextArea and your line breaks will appear.

Actually, I found a workaround for this problem. I remember someone saying something about Carousel using Windows Media Player to play the videos...or maybe I'm just imagining things. Anyway, I took a chance on thinking: "hey, if it uses WMP, maybe if I have it video playing and looping and then run the display engine, maybe it will work!"

And to my surprise, it's actually playing every time now. Now this isn't a fix but more of a temporary solution for anyone else having issues.

Well I guess I'd like to suggest that maybe for a suggestion, that maybe Carousel can have a feature where you upload templates/backgrounds in a media library somewhere and whenever you make a new zone, the templates/backgrounds will be resized to that zone automatically.

Video sometimes won't play in a bulletin

I have a video clip in a bulletin (not uploaded as a bulletin) and it won't play, it's just displays a black rectangle. Once in a long while it will play. It's a .wmv format and it plays just fine in Windows Media Player. Any idea what's causing this? I think I made a topic about this before but disgarded it.

I believe having a flash video uploaded as a bulletin will always stretch to the size of the zone. I don't think a crawl can resize the video, unless I missed something.

So I got the new templates and backgrounds, nice work. Anyway to have templates and backgrounds always available when making new zones? When I make new zones and go to templates, it always says none are available and I need to reupload them every time.

I'm pretty sure everyone would want this and just wondering when we would be able to have a full background for a channel and not slice up images from a background to have it in each zone so it will make up the background.

While on a similar subject, will there ever be layers for zones? If there we're an order for layers, we could make one whole zone a background and have the other zones on top of that. And I'm sure other people can think of many ways for layers as well.

Yes I know, I'm just suggesting that, as shown on Grayson's picture of the 2 bulletins, I'm suggesting that it would be awesome if it also displayed how long each bulletin plays for.

I didn't mean by how long it will go by schedule, I guess I meant to say how long it plays for. Like 7 seconds then it'll switch to another bulletin.
