Yes, I really wanted to find this app useful, but I use my computer for both work and personal tasks. In particular, general productivity apps like Office (Word, Outlook). Further data on the URL would also be useful for tagging sites like Wikipedia. But mainly I have hours logged in Word and Outlook and no way to tell what I was doing. This makes my data pretty much useless. I look forward to returning (even *paying*) when I can accurately tag my usage. Thanks.

Wednesday was a troubling day with that bug coupled with some GREAT press coverage and tons of traffic... Thus the timeouts. Timeouts are okay and shouldn't effect data-- just how often it gets sent.

I'll keep an eye on it and see if it re-occurs. It was timing out a lot when I first installed it but has seemed okay today.

That does seem odd.

We recently had a bug where our system was accepting duplicate records. We've fixed the bug, but that MIGHT be the reason you're seeing over-reporting for that day (some people were affected wednesday).

Sincere apologies! Data accuracy is our highest priority and we feel terrible about this.

So I *think* this is an isolated event. If you'd like me to dig in a bit, should your account email addy to team @ rescuetime dot com.

I hope that all google's products will one day become part of the apps package. As well as reader there's the google toolbar and google groups.

I just found this on Wednesday. I shut down my PC at the end of Wednesday shortly after 18:00. I was out Thursday so today (Friday) was when I powered my PC up. I note that it is reporting a full hour for 18:00 (-19:00) for Wednesday which is obviously wrong as it was turned off at about 18:05.

I can't seem to find what it thinks I was doing for that hour. Possibly being able to list all tasks for an hour (or arbitrary time period) might be useful, at least for diagnostics.

Bump. Really need to be able to tag based on window title as well as application. I use putty to connect to local servers for work and remote servers for non-work.

As a clarification to this, it would be useful to be able to specifiy a regex for the title as often the title will be changed during a single session (e.g. for unix shell current directory).
