Help - someone is sending direct messages from my account!
Someone is sending direct messages from my account!

I received a couple spammy direct messages from some accounts I follow (actually people I work with) earlier today.

Now, my followers are saying they are getting similar direct messages from me.

I don't think anyone has my password, I do think they are somehow getting around the login and sending stuff to my followers.

Doing it again under a different user name... @squareSTFU

Can I just block all usernames that contain "stfu"?

This has got to be against the Twitter Rules...
    Hey folks,

I looked through the Twitter rules and this isn't explicitly on there, but this is something I would classify as spam. I can't report it by a DM to @spam because @spam doesn't follow me yet.

I'm sure we're all familiar with the squarespace campaign going on on twitter right now - where you include #squarespace and are entered into a contest to win a free iPhone - which I think is ingenious.

However, this guy decided to create an account that simply does an @reply to anyone who uses the hash tag and insults them. And we're talkin' like hundreds of @replies per minute - it has got to be a program/script and is totally uncool - I have no connection with this user, and he just decided to message every person who enters the contest.

The user is @stfusquarespace. I have already blocked him. Again, dunno if there's anything you can do, but if you can make him cut it out, it would be awesome.

    Thanks
