I also am having this issue. My platform is CentOS, Gnome 2.16.0. The network has been mounted by browsing to the network location in File Browser (smb://[computername]/[sharename]) and is accessible throughout the OS. I can see an icon on the desktop for this share, and it appears in the "places" windows within Rhythmbox, etc, etc... But is mysteriously absent from the SongBird interface entirely.

My network is Windows "domain" based, and the files are being shared from an external HDD attached to a Windows XP machine. Seems to work fine everywhere except SB.

Perhaps I'm a *nix newbie, and I'm not invoking SB with the correct permissions? I would think if the regular file browser could see it though, then SB shouldn't have a problem...
