Brand new computer not built properly, can't get helpI purchased a computer a few weeks ago over the phone and when I received the email confirmation of my order, I realized it was missing the card reader. I emailed the salesperson right away letting him know it was missing and he said it would cost me $20. I told him that was ok and he never responded to my email. So two days later, I sent another email asking me him the status of the change and he didn't respond. I proceeded to leave two voice mail messages to him and he never responded. In the meantime, I received my computer without the reader. I called customer service and after being sent to 5 different people and explaining my situation over and over the rep finally told me they would send me the part. I was adamant that I wanted a technician to install it for me, she proceeded to tell me that they could do that and to call when the part arrived to schedule a technician to come to the house and install it.
I received the part and called the number she gave me. The first time I was on the phone for 15 minutes and talked to 4 people before someone hung up on me. The second time I called I was on the phone for 1 hour and 45 minutes and literally talked to 20 people, transferring me from customer care and back to techinical support, numerous times. Finally the last person I talked to was the supervisor of the technical support for my computer and he informed me that they can't send someone to my house because nothing is wrong with my computer. I explained the situation and what customer service told me to do and how the salesperson wouldn't return my phone calls and he insisted he couldn't help me. He never apologized for the run around I received which was extremely frustrating and upsetting and I still do not have someone to install my card reader.
Does anyone having any suggestions as to how I can get my probem resolved and what kind of recourse I can take?
