Unfortunately the E71x have no explicit option to turn off the light for the camera. It does have 2 settings, one AUTO setting and a NIGHT setting. The AUTO setting adjusts the settings according to the situation, but no matter what the environment is, the light always stays on. The NIGHT setting optimizes the camera for night shooting. I have done this properly, and it does automatically tweets streamed videos. I have had no problems with that.

What I want is the ability to NOT automatically Tweet videos and choose, from my phone, whether or not to share my video with Twitter. That is what I cannot do. When I try, from my phone, a message pops up saying "Not Available" – shortyvs2, on October 21, 2009 00:11

Qik Not Letting Me Share Stream Through Twitter

My phone is a Nokia E71x

Qik will not let me share videos with Twitter. After I create a stream from my phone I choose options, share, and then I highlight Twitter and select it, then I get a message saying "Not Available".

Twitter works normally when I set my Qik account to tweet automatically. But maybe there will be a mistake in the video and I want to re-shoot it. Now I will have two videos out there. Any possibility of fixing this? Is that feature not supported with my specific phone?

Note: It will let me share to Facebook without a problem.

So I read here that Qik supports Twittering the title of the stream? I can't seem to get this to work. My stream definitely has a title, but it is never included in the tweet. I have a Nokia E71x if that helps.

There does not seem like there is a way to do it. Qik has an option in Settings to either keep the light "Always On", or use the "System Default". I chose the system default option and tried to find a setting in the camera section of the E71x to keep the light off but there was none. Sorry, I think there is no way to turn it off unless they fix it in a software update.
