Then, make sure it's enabled and then load TrackThePack? It should show any Javascript errors that might be popping up.

I go back and forth on how useful this would be. The main problem is that with the way the carriers send us updates, you might get 5 emails/text messages in a 10 minute period with a bunch of insignificant updates (Arrival, Scan, Process, Departure, etc).

Maybe if it updated whenever it changes to a new City/State/Country?

What are your thoughts on this?

Yeah, the gap there is where an "Edit" link is supposed to be (which is inserted with Javascript). I'm going to dig around some into this and see what I can figure out. – Shpigford, on November 13, 2009 14:27

Hmmm, that's quite odd. I just tested in that same browser without issue. Would you mind sending me a screenshot of what it looks like when you are doing the mouseover that brings up the buttons? Email for the screenshot: info@trackthepack.com

Also, are you still having the issues? I pushed some changes live that _might_ have fixed it.

Looking at your profile, you don't have any packages that are have been out for delivery or delivered in the past few days (since we implemented our fix).

My initial thought is that people wouldn't really have an interest in entering a 25 digit string of random numbers/letters into a mobile device.

My assumption of the process is that people receive the tracking number via email on their computer, then they copy/paste the number into their account in their browser. Then, they can check status updates via the iPhone app.

I'm certainly open to adding the feature if enough people want that.

What are your thoughts on it?

This has been a point of confusion for a number of people (certainly not my intention) but I will be disabling it today and then adding an option to turn it on at a later date.

FYI, we rolled out the new TrackThePack and it does indeed include DHL Global Mail tracking.

Thanks folks. We've got a major update to TrackThePack coming in the next week and it will include domestic DHL Global Mail tracking.

So, we've got an update (pretty major one actually) coming to TTP that should be live in the next 7-10 days that I think will address this issue fairly well.
