A comment on the idea "Keyboard shortcut to mark page as read" in Feedly:
Love the feature change added in the release provided. One thing I'd like to see added is to enable (via preferences?) automatically refreshing the page on a shift-M. Ya, it only saves me one keystroke but I do it every time (and trying to do this with TextExpander doesn't work). Great job folks! – s.hum, on November 30, 2009 00:31-

A comment on the problem "Automatic get mail not working" in Postbox:
I had to look around too. Substitute the "mail account name" you gave when you set up your pop account for "incoming mail" (as described in Hugh's instructions). Then select "server settings" and check off "automatically download new messages". This only applies (in my case) to my pop accounts. IMAP accounts don't have this -- nor is it a problem as far as I am aware. Hope this helps. S – s.hum, on September 29, 2009 14:14

s.hum shared an idea in Postbox on September 28, 2009 15:19:
Manually triggered junk mail actionWould like to be able to configure an action to the "junk" mail tagging action e.g. to move a piece of junk mail to a folder when tagged as such via the junk mail button or "j" key (I'm collecting my junk mail with baited breath hoping that Spamsieve will someday soon be available to be trained with this collection :).
As it is, so much spam gets through PB that requires tagging, being able to configure an action aka like message filters, would help alleviate this sorely inadequate ability of PB (to identify spam).
s.hum reported a problem in Postbox on September 22, 2009 18:03:
Automatic get mail not workingPB 1.0 still does not appear to automatically get mail at the server configured intervals. Even upon launch, mail is only fetched from the 1st default mail server (top of list).
A comment on the question "spamsieve" in Postbox:
Is there an update to the status of this? I put my $ where my mouth is and have supported PB development. I thought I finally found "the" mail client. BUT PB's very poor spam filtering capabilities (less than 10% effective) has me spending way too much of my time manually tagging junk mail. PB's spam filtering capabilities or integration with Spamsieve will have to happen SOON for me to continue with PB. Providing add on support for Spamsieve integration would be the logical route which would attract other 3rd party development. This should be a priority in my mind. – s.hum, on September 19, 2009 12:47-

I've noticed this too... it doesn't always work which is especially annoying for frequent emails from the same sender. – s.hum, on September 18, 2009 18:16

Hey Scott,
As a result of moving to "snow leopard" started poking around a bit more (testing all the add-ons I've got). I moved the postbox folder in "application support" and low and behold... command-w closes the 3 pane window. SO... something must reside in the PB database that causes this anomaly. Haven't a clue how it got in nor where it resides.
I'm going to add my other mail accounts and will try to track the construction of the saved search folders which I was using extensively.

s.hum replied on September 10, 2009 16:30 to the problem "Saved search list blanks out" in Postbox:
PB1.0 the problem still remains which is really irritating. Have discovered, however, that I do not have to close and re-open the window. Simply selecting another folder when this occurs and then reselecting the local folder/saved search "unread" folder seems to cure the problem. Very weird.
I supposed if PB were scriptable, I could script this workaround behaviour into my "get mail" function...

Scott, OK, I finally have a lead!
It would appear that the keyboard/function mapping is somehow reversed on my system. command-w closes a tab, whereas option-w closes the window. And when I select "file/close" from the menu, it closes a tab as well !!, not the 3-pane mail and newsgroups window (when that has focus). command-w closes a new message window, though. Curious.
s.hum reported a problem in Postbox on August 24, 2009 11:21:
Cannot close initial tabInitial tab cannot be closed (has no close button). And when moved horizontally to a new tab position, still cannot be closed (as it retains no close button).
Would like to be able to close all tabs.
