Yay! If FF was more kinda fully-integrated, then wouldn't SB benefit from more of FF's development? It'd be great to have all the FF extensions in SB :)

I use both Songbird and Spotify already, in fact other than iTunes (for ripping CDs) these are my sole media players and I love them!!!

Thanks for the reply guys :-) Updated design looks good... I've been wondering what the portfolio section was for... Are you gonna split your videos into two sections:- the newer style narratives and the lessons? Or maybe several, I guess you have reviews and interviews etc too. Well, the sooner the forum is fixed the better :-)

I know you know this, but Forum / Comment posting on the site is still bad :-( I want to tell you how amazing your episodes are and discuss them and all, but it's hard when I can't post new topics. I don't seem to be able to post comments on episodes either, unless the button is hiding from me?? Weird :-S

I thought this at first, and still see your point, but I have to say that I like it now.
It really is nearly as good as iTunes, (which is on version 8) and yet songbird is still on V1.
I would like more flexibility and layout options, more work on the audio & interface rather than the browser section, but I think the team are striking a pretty good balance.
This new version is faster and supports more tracks with less processor load etc which is a definite step in the right direction.

Overall, I only really want a few things that would put songbird completely and utterly above iTunes:
1) Better "now playing" system, with integration into core app rather than an add-on.
2) Ability to split list view up with album art next to each album and a bold line between each album.
3) Ability to move sidebars/panes around more.

That would make it the best media player :-)
It's still pretty good as it is at the moment anyways :-D

In the long run, it would be AWESOME to have iTunes, 7digital, AmazonMP3 and other stores all native in songbird.
The greatest thing ever would be if you could compare tracks and albums side-by-side from the different stores and see the differences between quality, track length & versions, price etc.... Now that would be cool!

I'm thinking this might be a while in the making though...

Can we split the filter/list view by inserting horizontal lines between albums? Like iTunes? Basically, when iTunes shows the artwork next to the album tracks on the left (in the same pane as all the track info) it splits the tracks up and puts a darker (bolder) line between each album to distinguish it. I'd like this :-)
Oh, and if you can add the artwork in there like iTunes does it too, that'd be nice :-D

I just installed the latest songbird today (1.1.1) on my mac mini running leopard. I tried to import playlists that were exported from latest iTunes (8.1) as text files, it did nothing at all. I also tried selecting the .xml file that iTunes uses, did nothing.
Should I not be able to import iTunes playlists into songbird? Hopefully this will work soon :-)
